Ifna function is one of the most powerful tools in Excel. Not only can it perform tasks automatically, it also provides you with the ability to run multiple functions at once. Ifna is an Excel functions that can be utilized to perform multiple tasks, such as creating a function to calculate the average price of a product and another function to add a column to a worksheet.
The reason I talk about how Excel works is that it is used by a wide variety of people. People are mostly used in science terms, in the fields of finance and marketing. But in general, Excel is used by a wide variety of people. One of the main reasons for it is the way it works; it functions as a set of operations on the cell that are called functions in Excel.
That’s a fancy way of saying that functions are a really useful way to write code. It is also why they are called functions. Functions are built into Excel, but they are not the same as functions in other programming languages like Java. Functions are built more into Excel than other languages and they are really useful when writing code. You can create a function to calculate the average price of a product and another to add a column to a worksheet.
The two functions we have here are a good example of two functions that I have come across. The first, Average, calculates the average price of a product. The second, Sum, adds a column to a worksheet and turns those values into a number.
The “average price” function, it’s a really easy-to-write function to create. It’s much more complex than the ones above, but it’s well worth the effort to understand the structure of it. As an example, we’ve created a simple script that takes the average price of a product and adds the columns it has to a worksheet, and creates a new column for the sum.
If we use the average price as the first column, we can just use the standard Average function. The Sum function is as simple as we can make it, but it has a lot of parameters and has to be done in the excel formula bar, so that might be a problem. Weve got to do it in the cell editor though.
The point here is that we’ve created a simple formula that works on an array of products. It’s easy to use as it will take any array of numbers and return the average price.
This is where the other problem lies. As we can see in the screenshot above, the formula also returns the average per product. It just as easily could have been the average of any of the products in the array. It would have been a lot simpler to have just added a column for the sum, and it would have been much more obvious. If we had used a formula the way we did we could have easily made our formula work on the sum of the array of products.
The only way to know what the sum of the numbers in the array is is to read the formula and print out the sum. It might be a good idea to have a function that takes the sum of the array and returns the average of the numbers.
