On the one hand, you might have your home under surveillance 24/7. On the other hand, you are forced to get to work to make some money for the family or have kids in daycare.
You can’t have it both ways. If you’re working at home and your home is under surveillance, then you’re obligated to be home on time for work. You can’t make time to do both, and that would be irresponsible. You’d have to make an extra effort to be there on time for your kids’ day care or to drop off your kids for the day. So you need to make some cuts here.
This is the hardest thing, especially for the guy with no kids. The fact that you cant have a lifestyle outside the home without risking some extra money would be the real stress point. So a lot of people simply don’t have the money to be able to make these sacrifices. Which brings us to the next point, even if you have zero kids, you can still make some sacrifices.
This is where it gets complicated. As a parent, I try to think of two options. When you have kids, you have the freedom to choose your lifestyle. But the freedom to make some sacrifices would come at a cost on your own time and money. Maybe you have a kid that is a teenager and you have the time and money to go out and be a parent. But it’s also harder. You need to be home. You need to be productive.
It’s not always easy. I know many people who are trying to raise teens and they just can’t be. Not because they’re lazy or don’t want to, but because they just don’t have the time. You can’t go to school, you can’t hang out with friends, you can’t take care of yourself.
When I was a teenager and I spent my time and energy just trying to keep the family afloat, I ended up taking more time and money than I had ever intended. In fact, when I was 18 I was in college and I had to drop out because I had no way to pay for my tuition. I didn’t have a job, and I wasn’t saving anything. I was just trying to keep the family from going to the brink of bankruptcy. It was a huge sacrifice for me.
Well for many people, especially students, a college degree is so important they don’t even want to do it. In fact, it’s such a goal that most people choose to take the easy way out. They just want to get an education, and when they do, they don’t want to think about the time or money they have to invest. The problem is too many people get into college and end up spending the money they should be spending.
Well, that’s where I come in. I am a college student. I majored in psychology and psychology is not for the faint of heart. It requires so much study and planning, and so much of it involves getting your hands dirty. I know because I was one of them. College is a big investment in time and the money you save by choosing a more affordable degree will never be worth it for the rest of your life.
Sure you can always find work, but the work you choose to do will have a lot to do with how much time and money you save and then a lot to do with how much time and money you spend on your education. How much time and money you save from not having to study, or from not having to have to pay extra money for tuition is directly related to how much time and money you spend on your education.
I know this because I have an older sister who took a lot of time off from school for the last 20 years to work with elderly people. I don’t know if this is related, but she still had more money saved and more time saved from not having to pay tuition.
